  • What is a probe and why do I need one?
Probes allow your contractor to determine the feasibility of your proposed scope by examining the building's elements that are typically concealed by walls. A probe is required for all wall or partition work in order to determine feasibility of work prior to starting construction. During the probe, your contractor will open up a small section of the wall(s) and look to examine the structural, plumbing and electrical elements of that wall. This is something you can coordinate directly with your contractor. If you live in a condo or co-op, it is a great idea to have your super on site during the probe for any questions that come up.
  • What if I’m not satisfied with the work?
You should inform your Renovation Advisor. So we can reach an understanding, we’ll help you by talk to our tradesman to find a solution or we will set up an informal dispute process that can help find a satisfactory solution without any legal action. Your satisfaction is the number one priority.
